The Waterwheel Restaurant is surrounded by sliding glass windows, leading to our lovely gardens, which are beautifully illuminated in the evening and with picturesque views of the river and the surrounding countryside. The Waterwheel is a non-smoking restaurant.

Our unique working waterwheel is another attractive feature.

However, the most important aspect of any restaurant is the quality of food and service, and we are justifiably proud of both in The Waterwheel. 

Our menu is based on the principles of using high quality raw materials, freshly cooked and presented attractively.

There is a wide selection to choose from, including fresh fish, grills, vegetarian items and dishes with a Mediterranean influence. Select “restaurant menu” to see some of the dishes currently available.

In addition to the extensive a la carte there is a fixed price menu, with lots of choice for only £17.50, for three courses.

These fixed price menus offer exceptional value for money, as do the individually priced dishes on the a la carte.

In addition to dinner being served every evening of the week the Waterwheel is open for lunch on Sunday when a special menu is available – 3 courses with lots of choice including three different roasts, plus coffee for only £15.95 (children up to 12 years £8).
